Tottenham Hotspurs - Future is Bright!

Tottenham Hotspurs - Future is Bright

In 2014, Mauricio Pochettino took over a side that were struggling for form. He left Southampton to take over a tottenham side that needed change and a manager that knew what he was doing and the mentality to win. That's when we met Mauricio Pochettino. So why is the future Bright for tottenham?

New Stadium
Tottenham Hotspur is currently in an advanced planning stage of building a new stadium at a site next to their current stadium White Hart Lane. Stadium with a 61,000 capacity, including single tier with 17,000 seats. Incorporating fully retractable pitch for NFL matches. Tottenham will now play at wembley for their champions league games in the 2016/17 season. But in the 2017/18 season tottenham will have to play all their home games at Wembley when White Hart Lane will be knocked down. So why is this such a big thing for tottenham? well Tottenham new stadium will be the largest stadium in London and will have the largest one single tier in England. So that something to look forward in the future.

Youth System

Harry Kane and Ryan Mason are the most recent players that have came out of Tottenham academy system. Harry Kane has been the most successful player to come out of the youth system recently by scoring 25 goals this season beating Teddy Sheringham’s and Gareth Bale 21 goals in one season. But who else has came through Tottenham Youth System? Ledley King, Jake Livermore, Glenn Hoddle and Sol Campbell. But who is Tottenham next academy superstar?
Josh Onomah

Harry Winks

Honours: He represented England at U20 Level

All three of these players could make an appearance for Tottenham this season.  They are some other players that could also make an appearance: Nathan Oduwa, Dominic Ball, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Shayon Harrison

Bigger Transfers
Tottenham over the recent years haven't made the best signings over the last 3 years. Signing flops such as Roberto Soldado, Stambouli and Federico Fazio. But last year after Mauricio Pochettino had the chance to change the team into what he wanted. So he signed players such as Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Toby Alderwiereld. After this season we have made big strides because we have finished third and now we can attract bigger players because we are in the champions league. One big player who we have been in contact with is Mario Gotze, a world cup winner and a world class midfielder.

Who should your team sign - part 2

Who should your team sign - part 2

Crystal Palace
This was one of the worst season for crystal palace and the fans weren't happy. The main reason for crystal palace poor season is the strike force. Crystal Palace had a really poor season upfront as they only scored 39 goals altogether and was joint third lowest goal scorers in the division. And one player to change this is Christian Benteke
Christian Benteke before his move to Liverpool was a well know and a fantastic striker for Aston Villa. But this season he was very poor in front of goal and lost his starting place this season after Jurgen Klopp came in. But dont worry palace fans he was one of the best strikers in the league when he was at Aston villa and possibly be back on form next season if he join Crystal Palace.

Everton
This was again one of the worst season for Everton. This was Everton lowest season finish in 11th and the last time there finished 11 or lower was in the 2005-06 season when there finish 11th. Also  this season Everton won 12 games which is the lowest since the 2003-04 and lost 15 games which is also the most games lost since 2005-06. Who do Everton need to change their fortunes this season?
Neven Subotic
Neven Subotic
The Serbian had an impressive season at Dortmund this season but he wants to leave Dortmund for a move to the premier league preferably and would be an excellent signing for Everton. Especially with the likely hood of John Stones leaving the club. He's 27 years old and is valued at £9.35m, he also won 2 Bundesliga titles and 1 super cup champion. He would be an excellent signing for Everton but clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool want his signature.

Hull City
Hull are back in the big time after a very impressive season in the championship to get promoted back to the Premier League. Hull finished 4th last season but got promoted after winning 1-0 against Sheffield Wednesday in the play-off final. So who do Hull need to sign for a strong campaign this season. And his name is Ryan Mason

Ryan Mason did not have the season he wanted after being injured for a major part of it whilst struggling to get in the tottenham team this season. But after coming through the tottenham youth system, he shows a lot of passion for the club and would be sad to see him leave. But Hull will benefit a lot from Ryan when he's on form and can show a lot of potential on the field.

Leicester City
Well what can i say, Leicester beat all the odds by winning the premier league when there were 5,000-1. Leicester don't really need to improve the squad after the winning title but there are a likely chance of Kante leaving which could be a big blow for Leicester. But who's really on Leicester radar Ahmed Musa

Ahmed Musa could be Leicester record signing at reported £16.6 million. But who is he? He's a Nigerian striker from CSKA Moscow and scored 18 goals in 44 games whilst scoring 42 times in 125 appearances. He can play at upfront or LW,RW or RM. So why do Leicester need him? preferably for a backup striker to Vardy or to start out wide.

Who should your team sign - Part 1

Who should your team sign - Part 1

AFC Bournemouth
AFC Bournemouth had a very good campaign after getting promoted from Championship. Bournemouth scored the goals but the only problem Bournemouth had was defending. They conceded 67 goals, which is the joint 2nd highest in premier league history. Just by that Bournemouth do need to bring a defender in that has had experience at a big club but it available at a cheap price. One they should sign is:
Nicolas N'koulou
Nicolas N'Koulou
Age: 26
N'Koulou is a french defender who played for Marseille. But when July 1st 2016 hits he will be a free agent and will be able to sign him on a free transfer. Why is he the right man?
N'Koulou before he moved to Marseille, he played for AS Monaco when they where in the Ligue 2. This season for Marseille he made 41 appearances and has made 68 appearances for His National Team Cameroon. He has played in the world cup and has won the french league cup. He will be a great signing for Bournemouth especially for a free transfer.

Arsenal
Arsenal had a good campaign finishing the highest in the premier league since 2004-05 season. But the one main problem for Arsenal is the lack of world class strikers. They do have Danny Welbeck but he has injuries throughout the season and Oliver Giroud who had a great start to the season, went on a goal scoring drought. So who should they sign?
Alvaro Morata
Álvaro Morata
Age: 23
Alvaro Morata scored 12 goals in 42 games with also 12 assists for Juventus. Morata might not be a world class striker yet but at such at young age he is one for the future. He was signed from Getafe FC in 2008. He played for Real Mardid first team with 37 appearances scoring 10 goals. Morata has also won the Champions league and can bring that experience to Arsenal as there look to win the premier league and champions league.

Burnley
After Burnley relegation in 14/15, Burnley have came straight back up with an impressive season in the championship with top scoring team in the league. One problem Burnley do have now is the lack of experience in it team after the departure of Joey Barton. So who could they bring in?
Ashley Westwood
888467-1.jpg (640×360)
After Aston Villa dreadful season and getting relegated most of the player might want to leave. This means the players can leave on the cheap and one player Burnley can benefit from this is Ashley Westwood. Ashley Westwood has played 121 times for Aston Villa in premier league so he has plenty experience in the league and would help Burnley stay up next season.

Chelsea
After a very poor season for Chelsea, just finishing 10th they need a revamp at Chelsea especially after getting a new manager. Chelsea whole team had a very poor season but the defense was one of the main reason of their poor season. So they need to bring in a world class defender to fill in  the gap at the back.
And Kostas Manolas could help them out.
CSKA-Roma (4).jpg
Manolas is a defender who plays AS Roma and a Greek international. He played 67 times this season for AS Roma and can play left and right sided centre back for AS Roma. He is valued at £18 million and would be a good buy for Chelsea.

Why tottenham fans should still be proud this season?

Why tottenham fans should still be proud this season?

This season has been one of the best for tottenham but it has been over shadow by the phenomenal Leicester City. Don't get me wrong what Leicester have achieved is one of the greatest stories in football history and will be very hard to achieve again.
Reason why tottenham fans should be proud of tottenham this season:

1. We should finish higher than our fierce rivals Arsenal
If Tottenham beat Southampton at the weekend then tottenham have officially finished 2nd in the league. The last time tottenham finished above arsenal was in the 1994/1995 season which has been 20 years. Why is it so important? because Arsenal have been called the top north London club and now tottenham can match with finance and squad.

2. The highest tottenham have finished in a premier league season
The highest tottenham have finished in a premier league season is 4th. If tottenham do beat Southampton then this will be their highest ever finish in a premier league season. This would be a big achievement as it would put tottenham as one biggest clubs in London and in the league.

3. Possibility of the highest point tally in premier league season
In the 2012/2013 tottenham achieved 72 points and the highest in a premier league season and the second most is 70 points in the 2009/2010 season. Again if tottenham beat Southampton this weekend then tottenham will beat another record by being on 73 points.

4. Tottenham have officially qualified for the champions league
After tottenham draw to Chelsea there was one positive outcome after the match which was they qualified for the champions league. Now tottenham have officially qualified for the champions league, which was there main objective, many tottenham fans would of taken that at the start of the season but now to finish second is one of the greatest achievement.

150 word Summary

Posh win without a manager as Shrewsbury are safe from relegation despite losing.

The home side come back from 3-0 down to concede in the last minute. Shrewsbury were 3-0 down with 16 minutes remaining but a late goal from Jon Taylor and a sending off as well didn't help Shrewsbury at all.
Baldwin headed posh in front after 40 mins before Lee Angol scored to make it 2-0. Lee Angol got his second goal of the game in the 69th minute to put posh 3-0 up. Shrewsbury's Jean Akpa-Akpro scored to give Shrewsbury a slight hope before Andy Mannan and Jack Grimmer sealed a remarkable come back in 10 minutes. But Jon Taylor put Posh back in the lead in the last moment of the game before Ian Black got a second yellow after the goal.

Are Leicester City lost without Vardy?

Vardy stats:
Games: 35

Shots per game; 3.1
Aerials won: 2.6

Games won with Vardy: 24
Games won without Vardy: 2

Games lost with Vardy: 3
Games lost without Vardy: 1

After Jamie Vardy red card against West Ham Leicester now have to deal without Vardy big influence on the pitch. Vardy is Leicester top goal scorer in all competitions with Mahrez behind him with 16 goals. Vardy has only missed two games this season but still manged to win both games against West Ham and Bury. What other options do Leicester have upfront:

Shinji Okazaki
Shinji Okazaki was brought by Leicester on a free transfer but really hasn't set sails rolling on his goal scoring tally this season. But his mentality to close defenders down and put under pressure is what he is best at. But is he as influential as Vardy in the team. Vardy style of play is to make deadly runs and dribble at defenders with pace. Okazaki has a different style of play, Okazaki is the one who would put defenders under pressure to make a mistake.
Leicester city win percentage with Okazaki: 52.7%

Leonardo Ulloa
Ulloa was brought by Leicester from Brighton last season. After a impressive first season he hasn't really been in the starting 11 this season. Ulloa has only scored 4 goals from 21 appearances of the bench and only 5 appearances in the staring 11. Ulloa is very strong in the air and really good header of the ball, but he can deliver good contribution to defending. Ulloa has a different style of play to Vardy when Vardy likes to dribble  the ball past opponents and can make deadly runs. Unlike Vardy, Ulloa not know for his pace and more of a threat in the box from crosses and corners.
Leicester city win percentage with Ulloa: 47%

The Next Jamie Vardy: Aaron Williams

Aaron Williams

Aaron Williams scored on his debut

Name: Aaron Williams
Age: 22
Nationality: England
Club: Peterborough
Position: Forward

Stats:
Games: 7
Goals: 2
Assists: 2

Last Season:
Games:26
Goals: 12

Career Summary:
Aaron Williams started his career off at Walsall but really didn't get a permanent place in the starting eleven. In the 2011-12 season he scored 22 goals for the Walsall Youth team after opting to stay to Walsall after he trained with Manchester Untied at eight years old. In the 2012-13 season Aaron made eight professional games for Walsall after being handed the 19 shirt number. Later in that season he was sent on a one month loan to Romulus playing his first game for that club in a 1-1 draw with Sutton Coldfield Town then he returned to Walsall one month later. He was then sent on to another one month loan to AFC Telford wearing the number 20 shirt for them. He scored his first goal for AFC Telford and his first professional goal of his career in a 5-2 away defeat to Woking. Following the relegation of Telford Aaron Williams he went on loan to Worcester City and was later signed for Worcester in the 2013-14. He scored his first goal for Worcester City opening the scoring in the FA Cup Fourth Round Qualifying against Lincoln City. On 2 September 2014 Williams signed for Rushall Olympic and made his first debut for Rushall in a 3-2 away win against Curzon Ashton. He scored his first goal for Rushall against King's Lynn Town and then scored in the FA Cup tie against Tamworth. Aaron Williams then signed for Nuneaton in the summer of 2015 and scored on his full debut in a 3-2 away win at Chorley. His good form atrratced third tier side Peterborough United took him on a week trail. On 23 January 2016, Williams returned to the football league after signing for Peterborough United and after 7 games he has scored 2 games after scoring on his debut for Peterborough United.

Why has he been dipped for the next Jamie Vardy?

At 21 years old, there is plenty of time for Aaron Williams  to reach his full potential after being released from Walsall at a young age but he now has a chance to prove the doubters wrong at Peterborough. Jamie Vardy scored 31 goals in 36 games for Fleetwood Town in the Conference National League. Aaron Williams who scored 12 goals in 26 games for Nuneaton Town even though he has less goal to game ratio he has at least 7 years to prove his talent and i still think he will be in the top league in years to come.

Match Summary
Altrincham slipped in to the relegation places as Dover come back to seal all three points.
It was Altrincham who started the better team, winning a series of corners, with their first half-chance on goal coming in the 18th minute from Ginnelly. He troubled Mitch Walker again five minutes later, taking aim from just outside of the penalty area, but Walker was more than equal to the effort.

Stefan Payne, who had three early missed chances to open the scoring as the half an hour mark approached but couldn't put it past Deasy. Liam Bellamy struck the post on the 31st minute from an effort outside the box, and was unlucky to open the scoring which would have been his first of his campaign.

On 37 minutes,Micheal Rankie gave the hosts lead from a long range free kick, which fizz an unstoppable effort past Walker before the break to take the lead against Dover.
Whites raced out of the blocks in the second half, with Sam Magri and Jack Parkinson both trying their luck at finding an equaliser, but as time ticked by, it looked like it would be a frustrating evening for Dover.

Nicky Deverdics and Chris kinnear worked together to set up  Ricky Milller, as Nicky Deverdics eventually found Ricky Miller, who fired home from ten yards to level the scores.

The Momentum shifted into the Whites favour as Stefan Payne - the club's top scorer - completed the turnaround. Great interplay between the Dover players saw Payne scored from acute angle, to complete the turnaround for Dover.

Alitrancham slipped in 22nd following the defeat to Dover and are now three points from safety while Dover remain in the play off fight there are now six points ahead of sixth placed Braintree

Who will win the Euro 2016?

Who will win the Euro 2016?

Eurocopa 2016

5. Spain
Spain qualification group was harder than their thought after suffering shock defeat against Macedonia. But Spain eventually cruised through the group and the team Spain have, they could easily win the cup. Spain have two of best midfielders such as Andres Iniesta and Sergio Busquets. Spain also have a rocked solid defense with Sergio Ramos and Gerard Pique also with another solid goalkeeper such as David De Gea. Spain in the 2014 world cup didn't have a prolific goalscorer and that why they struggle to get through the group stage. If Spain deal with same problem again i cant see them get through but with Morata, who is becoming a top quality striker and the 35 year old Adruiz, who is having one of his best season. Spain have a very good chance if Morata and Adruiz can score goals and if they do i think they can progress to the final.
Spain
4. England
This could be England best chance of winning a major tournament since 1966, with such a young and energetic team. In the past year England striker force have been the down point for England, but this year England have one of the best striker force with the like as Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy and Danny Welbeck. The only downfall for England squad is they defense, ever since John Terry retired England have struggled to find a decent center back to replace him. England main center back at the minute is Chris Smalling but with the introduction with Eric Dier, who plays CM but his style play is he likes to drop to CB when the LB and RB push up which helps the full backs can be more attacking. This is England best chance of winning it and with the likes of these young players who have been impressive all season for their club.
England
3. Belgium
Belgium had one of their best world cup campaigns last time out and have been impressive in their qualification group. Also being ranked number 1 in the world many people believe that Belgium can win the euro. Belgium is impressive all over the pitch with the likes of Vincent Kompany and Jan Vertonghen in defense. Belgium main problem is that they don't have a clinical striker even though they have Romelu Lukaku who has 11 goals in 42 games but they also have Benteke who is been poor all season and hasn't made the starting line-up. The midfield of Belgium is one of the strongest i know with the likes of De Bruyne, Radja Nainggolan, Axel Witsel and Eden Hazard. All these world class players can really help Belgium push for  the Euro's and i believe they can win this tournament if they keep this team fit.

2. France
With the Euro being in France, this could be a real advantage for France and a massive boost for all the players. France have one of the best team in the tournament and the spine of the team is best in the world. With Hugo Lloris in goal then Laurent Koscielny in defense with Paul Pogba in midfield and Antione Griezeman up front. They is even more of boost for France with the internationals that are coming through such as Anthony Martial, Dimitri Payet, Blaise Matuidi and N’golo Kante. France pre season friendlies were a big success with a win over Holland and a 4-2 demolishing of Russia which keeps them in good form.

1. Germany
The world champions have lost quite a few of their key players but are expected to win the Euro's with one of the best team in Europe. Germany weren't entirely convincing in their qualification group but always do better in the tournament. Germany have one of the best keepers in the world and their defense is as strong than anyone else is. But what Germany are lacking is a goalscorer, after the world cup their top goalscorer of all time Klose retired but ever since that they have struggled to find an out an out striker to fill his place. One player that can replace him is Thomas Muller who has been in good form for his club but he is usually an attacking midfielder but he can scores goals scoring 28 goals in 38 games for Bayern Munich. Germany are the favorite team to win this tournament and cant see anyone stopping them when they are at they best.

    Match Summary
Peterborough won at home in league One for the first time since boxing day.

Posh were on 5 game losing streak at home and wanted to end the streak. If it weren't for Ben Alnwick who made seven fine saves in the first half then posh would have faced another loss at home but Michael Bostwick broke the deadlock when he peeled off at the back post to meet with Marcus Maddisons in-swinging corner.

Lee Angol then scored in the 61st minute after being set up from Marcus Maddison, although Joe Cole pulled one back for Coventry after a great counter attack from Jacob Murphy.

Then 4 minutes later Shaquile Coulthrist poor shot was blocked but Harry Beautyman at the right placed slot it home from a poor clearance. Posh were 3-1 up and the game was in Peterborough Hands.

Coventry eighth defeat in 12 games leaves them in the ninth place, three points of the play off places.
This was Peterborough third win in their 15 league and cup games. Peterborough are now 4 points of ninth place Coventry and 8 points off the play off places with 8 games to go.
